William Donnie "Don" Jones, 72, of 625 Shefwood Drive, met his Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014.

Born in Greenville County, a son of the late Beattie Garrett Jones, Sr., and the late Evelyn Hamilton Jones, Mr. Jones was in the automobile business for forty-five years. His last tenure was at Toyota Of Easley where he served as equal owner, president and CEO for twenty-seven years.

Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church, Easley, where he was honored to serve as assistant treasurer, deacon, the Stewardship Committee, the Mission Action Team and Trustee. He was the teacher for the Couples for Christ Sunday School Class. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the US Army.

Mr. Jones was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Easley for twenty-four years where he served as president and vice president. He organized a golf tournament which bears his name. During the twenty-one years of this tournament, the club raised thousands of dollars to provide Christmas for hundreds of needy children.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of forty-nine years, Patsy Porter Jones; two precious daughters, Robin Jones Durham (Billy) and Kellie Jones Thorne (John), all of Easley; three beautiful granddaughters, Alexis Durham, Emily Thorne and Jordan Durham; a brother, Bobby Jones of Greer; a sister, Judy Wheeler of Easley and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was predeceased by a brother, Beattie Garrett Jones.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday at First Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Bell Tower Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

The Couples For Christ Sunday School Class will serve as Hororary Escorts.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:45 PM Thursday in the narthex of the church, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the residence.
