Don Teague

Mr. Donnie "Don" Hendrix Teague, 83, husband of Carolyn Thomas Teague, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Born in Fairfield County, SC, a son of the late Charles Teague and the late Una Hendrix Teague, Mr. Teague was a graduate of Newberry High School and retired from S.T.I., Inc. He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church where he served as deacon and took pleasure in serving others.

Don loved to barbecue, grill and bake pound cakes for everyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and take care of others. If you knew Don, his love for family, friends or anyone he came in contact with was shown with his kindness and compassion. He will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of fifty-seven years, are four sons, James Hyatt (Charlotte) of Rutherfordton, NC, David Hyatt (Kelly) of Wilmington, NC, Donnie Shealy (Yvonne) of Travelers Rest, and David Shealy (Sherry) of Newberry, ; his daughter, Becky T. Phillips of Easley; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren that he dearly loved. In addition to his parents, Mr. Teague was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Teague and Hunter Teague.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church.
