Mr. Charles Donald "Don" Williams, Sr., 87, husband of Ruth Fitzgerald Williams and the late Mary June Fix Williams, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018.
Born in Confluence, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Henry and Florence Clister Williams.
Mr. Williams was a graduate of The University of Maryland. He retired from The C.F. Sauer Company and was a member of the Church of The Redeemer in Greenville. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He enjoyed building and repairing clocks, working in his flower garden and woodworking.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Charles Donald "Don" Williams, Jr. (Donna) of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Alison Shurts (Aaron) of Edmonds, WA and Charles Michael Williams of Woodland Park, CO; great granddaughter, Charlotte Clare Shurts; step daughters, Lisa Fitzpatrick (Heidi) of Silver Spring, MD and Karen Brewer (John) of Grantsville, MD; and step grandchildren, Bailey Susan Brewer and Lindsay Elizabeth Brewer.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, Mr. Williams was predeceased by a son, Thomas Allen Williams.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Church of the Redeemer, Greenville, SC. A private burial will be held in Graceland East Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
