Don L. Winslow

Don Lee Winslow, 74, of 18 Vanessa Rae Lane and husband of Janice Westerman Winslow, died peacefully at his home on Monday, November 5, 2012.
Born in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late Frank E. and Inez R. Haley Winslow. He earned a M.Ed. degree from the Rhode Island College and was a retired teacher with the Coventry, Rhode Island Public School System. He was a member of the BPOElks, was past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, and was the Past President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Rhode Island State Police FOPA. He was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson and served in the Rhode Island Air and Army National Guard.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 step-daughters, Dawn Rose of Ashway, RI, Cheryl Murphy of New Port Richie, FL and Susan Barnes of Venice, FL; step-son, George Barnes of Tampa, FL; and 5 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 10 AM, Saturday, November 17th at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Pendleton with Reverend John Neiman officiating.
There will be a reception following the service at the Islander Pub and Grill, 134 Exchange Street, Pendleton, SC 29670.
The family is at the home.
