Dr. Donald J. D'Amico, 90, husband of Mary Keegan, of Easley, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021.
Born in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Alfred and the late Mary Yaccino D'Amico.
Dr. D'Amico retired as superintendent in education for the cities of Joliet, IL and later, St. Charles, IL. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge in St. Charles, IL and also helped to construct the St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Charles, IL. He was also a member of the Catholic Church of St. Luke, Easley, SC.
In addition to his wife, Dr. D'Amico is survived by sons, Don D'Amico (Suzanne) of Celina, TX, Mark D'Amico (Gail) of Marco Island, FL, Greg D'Amico (Annie) of Champaign, IL, and Tom D'Amico of San Diego, CA; three brothers, Al, Larry, and Bobby D'Amico; a sister, Gloria Scaletta; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years, Mary Lou D'Amico; and a brother, Johnny D'Amico.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Catholic Church of St. Luke, Easley, SC. The service may be viewed live at Church of St. Luke Live Stream.
