Donald “Don” Jerome Haywood, 92, of Easley, South Carolina, husband of the late Louise Harding Haywood, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at his home.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of the late George and Nora Suhr Haywood. Don proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was of the Catholic Faith. He retired from NCR after 42 years, and in his spare time enjoyed woodworking to create wooden toys for children. He also collected baseball cards, coins, and stamps. Don was an avid Clemson Tigers fan and a member of IPTAY for many years.

He is survived by a sister, Vera Taylor of Dayton, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife of 55 years, Don is preceded in death by siblings George Haywood, Harold Haywood, Herbert Haywood, Miriam Rogers, and Alice Baltes.

There will be no formal services, and Don will be laid to rest beside his wife at David’s Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio.
