Donald C. McAlister, 76, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Anmed Hospital.
Mr. McAlister was born in Pickens County, the son of the late James E. and Ethel Riggins McAlister. He was retired from Pratt Read Manufacturing Company, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of East Clemson Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Dobson McAlister; two sons, Barry McAlister of Clemson and Alan(Lisa) McAlister of Central; a great grandson raised in the home, Jason Nicholas McAlister; three sisters, Sandra (David )Prater of Central, Marnell(Jack)Cothran of Sparta, TN and Nancy Herron of Eloree, SC; three grandchildren, Jason and Daniel McAlister and Gina Moore; two great grandchildren, River Bleu and Carter Rayburn.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 1:15 PM at East Clemson Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
