Donnie Ray Lyda

Donnie Ray Lyda, 74, of Central, passed away on May 18, 2024 at his home. 

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late James Franklin Lyda and Veona Berry Lyda. Donnie graduated from D.W. Daniel High School and worked for Cannon Mill, Daniel Construction, and most recently Walmart. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Clemson football fan.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Louise Bryson of Central and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Donnie is predeceased by his parents; sister, Frances Seigle, Brenda Rhodes, and Linda Brown; brother, Harold Lyda.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends following the service.
