DONNIE NELMS, Williamston
Donald S. "Donnie" Nelms, 58, of 5940 Hwy 81 North, husband of Nancy Rodgers, died Friday, March 17 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Pendleton, he was a son of the late Hallan H. and Evelyn Smith Nelms. He formerly worked in textiles and was an army veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother, Tommy Lee Nelms, Pendleton; two sisters, Carolyn Chism, Clemson and Patricia Nelms Travis, Union, SC.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Roger and Horace Nelms.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 2:30pm at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, PO Box 301, Pendleton, SC 29670. The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Chism, 1035 Berkeley Drive, Clemson, SC 29631.
Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central-Clemson Commons, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
