Donnie Jackson Whitman, 69, of 1715 Refuge Road and husband of Teresa Richey Whitman died Monday, March 25, 2013 at AnMed Health.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Clem Jackson and Gladys Irene Holmes Whitman. Donnie was a retired employee with LaFrance Industries and was a member of Barnette's Grove Cathederal of Love.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Johnny Dale Whitman of Pendleton; daughters, Linda Whitfield (Tommy) of LaFrance, Melissa Olson (Ray) of Pendleton and Crystal Whitman (Jemal) of Anderson; sisters, Brenda Thrasher and Denise Whitman both of LaFrance; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Grady Edward Whitman and James Allen Whitman, Sr.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:50 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
