Doris Asbill McMillan Littlejohn, 98, widow of Charles Edward Littlejohn, Jr., passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at her residence.
Doris was born in Salley, SC a daughter of the late Lyman Abbott and Annie Pauline Asbill McMillan. She was a graduate of Winthrop University and earned her Masters Degree from Clemson University. She was a former secretary in the Botany Department at Clemson University and then spent many years as a homemaker, mother and wife. She later taught at D.W. Daniel High School until her retirement. She was a long time member of Clemson United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Anne Olivia Littlejohn of Atlanta; grandchildren, Brian Edward Beal and wife Kristin of Simpsonville and Gregory Jason Beal of Greenville; and sister, Edna McMillan Todd of Clemson.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Littlejohn was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Carol Littlejohn Beal and son-in-law, Francis Edward Beal.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, December 31, 2019 at Clemson United Methodist Church with Rev. Fran Elrod officiating.
A private family graveside committal service will be held at a later date at Woodland Cemetery on the campus of Clemson University.
Due to concern with the Covid-19 Pandemic, facial coverings will be required and social distance protocols will be observed.
