Mrs. Doris Eloise Delappe McDaniel, 82, of Easley, loving wife of 50 years to Fred William McDaniel, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital - Downtown.


A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. McDaniel was born in Pennsylvania County, Virginia on August 26, 1934 to the late Arthur Spaugh Delappe, Sr. and Alma Beulah Delappe. She spent her life as a homemaker and was a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. McDaniel was a generous, Godly woman who loved her family, watching TV shows, skating, and Atlanta Braves Baseball.


In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. McDaniel is survived by her children; Angie McDaniel Hartless (Larry) and Barry McDaniel (Vikki), both of Easley; Melinda Gregory (Mark) of Simpsonville; and Doris Ann Tomlinson of Virginia; and two sisters; Mildred Hall of Virginia and Patsy O'Neil of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; Jamey Hill (Cory), Brittany N. Evon (Stephen), Gage Couch, Chelsey McDaniel Bigham (Jeremy), Chandra McDaniel, Tori Wood, Taylor Wood, Tyler Wood, Brandi Minton, and Teri Tomlinson; five great grandchildren; Cameron Hill, Bryson Hill, Adelynn Couch, Cate Bigham, and Brinn Hill; a great-grandson that is yet to be born, Owen Thomas Evon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, and one sister. 


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.


The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Friday prior to the service from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 PM.


Pallbearers will be Barry McDaniel, Gage Couch, Larry Hartless, Mark Gregory, Cory Hill, Stephen Evon and Tyler Wood.


The family is at their respective homes.
