Doris Mullikin Nix, 91, wife of the late James Furman Nix, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Earl Mullikin and Inez Marie Young Mullikin. Mrs. Nix worked for the Ellison Plant of Alice Manufacturing for over 40 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Nix Henderson; two grandsons, Stephen Tate (Tammy) and Shawn Henderson (Carrie); a granddaughter, Jennifer Henderson; nine great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband of 63 years, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Lee Mullikin.
A graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Nix will lie in state from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House 1836 W Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
Due to concerns with the Covid-19 Pandemic, facial coverings will be required and social distance protocols will be observed.
