Dorothy Stephens Anderson, age 91, of Easley, passed away on September 12, 2025.

She was born on February 11, 1934 to Sam and Irene Craig Stephens at Easley, SC. She worked as a carpet inspector for many years. Dorothy enjoyed thrift shopping with her daughter and playing the piano. She loved music such as, Etta James, Nat King Cole, and Frank Sinatra. Dorothy had a great sense of humor and loved playing pranks on others.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Brown Owens (Barry), Linda Jean Brown, and Denita Gentry; her three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Stephens; and her sister, Nancy McHannan.

She was predeceased by her previous husband, Alex Boyd Brown; her son, Martin Alex Brown; her parents; her brothers, Sam Stephens and Moss Stephens; and her sisters, Eleanor Donald and Betty Ruth Magaha.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
