Dorothy Ferguson Blackston, 88, of Easley, wife of William Carl Blackston Sr., of the home, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Abbeville County, Mrs. Blackston was a daughter of the late Roy Cameron and Dolly Lee Billue Ferguson. She was a school teacher for 35 years and a member of Crosswell Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Carl Blackston, Jr. (Donna) of Easley; two sisters, Frances Freeman and Carolyn Page; a brother, Bill Ferguson; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Roy Ferguson, Jr.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Crosswell Baptist Church.
The family will also receive friends from 6:00 unti 8:00 PM Monday April 18, 2011 at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, and also at Crosswell Baptist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 Tuesday, prior to the service.
