Dorothy Maxine Armstrong Braley, 89, wife of 21 years of Robert "Bob" William Braley, passed away peacefully on Monday, July, 23, 2018 at Magnolias of Easley surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born in Defiance, Ohio a daughter of the late Hurless and Waunita Tickle Armstrong. She was a former resident of Davenport, Florida where she was active in her church, enjoyed camping and was a member of various camping groups. In Florida, she was a volunteer fireman, very active in her church and in the community. She and her husband moved to Easley in 2012 and was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Easley.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Linda West (Erik) of Portage, MI, Darlena Drzewicki (Mark) of Easley, SC, Nena Schneider (Dan) of Nashville, TN and Tina Thomas (C.J.) of Jackson, MI; step-son, James Braley (Melody) of California; chosen children, Ron Lazarus (Vicki) of Sun City, AR and Diane Holihan of Saginaw, MI; brother, Ray Armstrong (Barbara) of Bay City, MI; grandchildren, S. Spencer Henley (April), Jason Drzewicki (Mehan), Hollie Harrell (Robbie), Judsen Schneider (Natasha), Joey Schneider (Nancy), Dustin Thomas (Toni) and Stephanie Calverley (Adam); and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Thomas Hoff and a brother, Thurman Armstrong.
A memorial service will be at 5 PM, Friday at St. Michael's Memorial Columbarium at St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
