Mrs. Dorothy Marie McCain Davis, 90, wife of the late Ellis Howard Davis, Sr., passed away Monday, February, 24, 2014 at her home.

Born in Ohio, a daughter of the late Harvey and Clara Chichester McCain, Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Marietta.

Surviving are eight sons, John Morgan (Ruby), Harvey Morgan (Sandy), Ellis H. Davis, Jr., Joe Davis (Sweetie), Charles Davis (Elizabeth), Michael Davis (Rita), Bruce Davis, and Richard Davis; one daughter, Judy Finley (Greg); twenty-eight grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Davis was predeceased by a son, Elmer Davis; a daughter, Marcella Curry; and three daughters-in-law, Margaret and Christa Morgan, and Montez Davis. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 28 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
