Dorothy Williams Jameson, 86, of 2535 Earls Bridge Road, wife of the late Jack Dempsey Jameson, and daughter of the late Norman and Kate Latham Williams, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2013. Mrs. Jameson is survived by her son, James Lake Jameson of Easley and her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Jim Nichols of Humble, TX. She also has three grandsons, and their wives, Scott and Anne Nichols of Nosara, Costa Rica, Christopher and Courtney Nichols of Missoula, MT, and Travis and Ashley Nichols of San Francisco, CA. She has four great-grandchildren, Jackson (5), Malin (3), Amelia (3) and Hanley Nichols (2).

Mrs. Jameson was preceded in death by her beloved brothers and sisters, Ola Faye Williams, E. Wayne Williams, Vonnie Couch, Kathryn Jameson, Charles R. Williams and N.B. Williams.

Born and raised in her much beloved community of Dacusville, Mrs. Jameson was a graduate of Furman University and taught elementary education for thirty-five years, predominantly in the Pickens County School District. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and thoroughly enjoyed her "Care & Share" group until her illness. Mrs. Jameson served as a member of the Volunteer Auxiliary at Palmetto Health in Easley where she enjoyed serving at the Information Desk greeting her many friends and former students.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the loving and caring staff of The Willows of Easley, Emeritus of Greenville (Memory Care Unit) and PH Healthcare Hospice. They also wish to thank the many visitors and her church members who brightened her days during her illness.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Jameson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601.

The family is at the residence.
