Dorothy Wood Meder, 81, wife of William F. Meder of Greenville, died Friday May 6, 2011 with family by her side.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Winslow Seth Wood and Madge Jordan Wood.
Mrs. Meder retired after 35 years of service to the Greenville Hospital System, where she was a Physical Therapist. Mrs. Meder was of the Methodist Faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 62 years are a son, Shane Meder, of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Jan Steele and her husband Rusty, of Easley, SC; her only surviving brother, Kenneth J. Wood and his wife, Evelyn, of Greer, SC and her granddaughter, Deshia Ann Leonhirth, of Columbia, SC.
She was preceeded in death by a son, Robert Cecil Meder.
Visitation will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Jim Price and Mr. Jerry Franklin officiating. Inurnment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens - Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
The family is at the residence.
