Dorothy Moore Newton, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Hospice of the Foothills.

Mrs. Newton was born in Oconee County and was a daughter of the late Brown Lee and Lala Smith Moore.  She had worked for Newton Shoes and was a member of Pickens View Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin Earl Newton; three sons, Mike, Eddie and Kenneth Newton; one daughter, Becky Monroe; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
