Mrs. Dorothy Helen Crenshaw Gantt Nix, 96, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Golden Living Center in Hendersonville, NC.

Dorothy was born in Anderson, SC on May 5, 1920 to the late W.R. Doyle Crenshaw, Sr. and Annie Belle Reynolds Crenshaw. A graduate of Greenville High School; she was twice married; first to Leon Wesley Gantt, Sr., then to H.J. Nix. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Mrs. Nix is survived by two sons; Wesley "Bo" Gantt (Shelia) of Easley, and Robert "Bobby" Gantt of Greenville; a daughter; Barbara Teague McCoy of Wilmington, NC; and four brothers; Jewel Crenshaw (Marie) of Macon, GA; Jimmy Crenshaw (Connie) of Augusta, GA; Christopher Crenshaw (Elna) of Durham, NC; and David Crenshaw (Kathy) of Jefferson, GA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husbands and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law; Cliff McCoy; and four brothers; Doyle Crenshaw, Jr, Joseph Crenshaw, Nelson Crenshaw, and Harold Crenshaw.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642. Interment will follow at Graceland West Cemetery in Greenville.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM.
