Dorothy “Dot” Hollis Nuckols, 66, wife of Phillip Thomas Nuckols, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy was born in Greenville County a daughter of the late Sara Virginia Lee Hollis and James Edwin Hollis Sr.   She was a graduate of Woodmont High School and retired from Lowe's.  She served in management in many Restaurant and Retail businesses.  She was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church in Liberty and loved to cook, sew and take care of others.  She enjoyed working word puzzles and was a tremendous Scrabble player.

Surviving in addition to her husband,  are her daughter, Sara (Kenneth) Kerstetter of Central, SC; son, Matthew William (April Marano) Rutledge of Williamston, SC; step-daughter, Wendy Michelle Owens of Hendersonville, NC; brothers, Jim (Robin) Hollis of Oxford, MS and Roy (Maria) Hollis of Piedmont, SC; sisters, Cathy Coble of Lancaster, SC, Judy Looper and Linda (Harold) Holt of Seneca; grandchildren, Kenneth (Samantha) Kerstetter Jr., Bethany (Nathan Pence) Kerstetter, Dohnoven (Mac) Kerstetter, Jamie Rutledge, Kross (Carmen) Knight, Patrick Candelaria,  Jacob (Dezaree) White, John Marano and Aubry (Madison) Clark; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Kerstetter III, Kaiden Kerstetter, Ryan Clark, Reagan Clark, Riley Clark and Azelea White; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Friday, December 16, 2022 at Roanoke Baptist Church, Liberty, SC.  The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:50 PM prior to the service at the church.

The family is at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roanoke Baptist Church.
