Dorothy Louise Sylvester, age 84, of Easley, passed away on September 13, 2025.

She was born on June 18, 1941, to Richard Thomas and Ella Livingston Winters. Dorothy worked as a hairdresser out of her home for some time before moving to South Carolina with her husband, John. After she moved down south, she primarily took care of the home along with her two children. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. Dorothy loved to read all types of books, especially those written by James Patterson. She enjoyed baking her well-known pound cake, cooking, making quilts, knitting, and crocheting. Dorothy loved spending time with her family and her beloved cat, Bella.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, John Dominick Sylvester; her children, Christina Brucke (Dwayne) and Shawn Sylvester; her six grand-dogs and her cat, Bella.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Betty Skiles; and her brother-in-law, Merv Skiles.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prisma Health Upstate Foundation at 300 E. McBee Ave., Suite 401, Greenville, SC 29601.
