Mrs. Dorothy Conklin Watson, 94, wife of the late Edward Eugene Watson, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013. For the past two years she made her home with her son and daughter-in law, Dave and Patricia Watson.
Born in Vigo County, IN, a daughter of the late Evert Lloyd and Ruth Denham Conklin, Mrs. Watson was a retired beautician with a master's degree in cosmetology and was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa, the Colonial Dames, and the Daughter's of the American Revolution.
Surviving are a son, Dave Watson and his wife Patricia of Easley; four grandchildren, David Watson, Karrie Schlegel, Jennifer Fletcher, and Mary Ann Watson; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces, Sue Ann Elliot and Jean Buriss; and a nephew, Chuck Frye. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Watson was predeceased by a son, Edward E. Watson; two sisters, Lois Buriss, and her twin sister, Doris Frye.
Funeral services will be held at a later date in Terre Haute, IN.
