Dorris Scroggs Stone, 79, of 706 Pelzer Highway, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at Palmetto Health Baptist Easley.
Mrs. Stone was born in Pelzer, SC, a daughter of the late Ernest and Florence Griffin Scroggs. She graduated from Williamston High School and attended Anderson College. Mrs. Stone worked in restaurant management and food preparation. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are a son, Johnny L. Stone, of Easley; a daughter, Anita Lory Horton, of Camden; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Stone; and a son, Alfred Cecil Stone.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of her son, Johnny L. Stone, 535 Old Cedar Rock Road, Easley, S.C. 29640.
