Douglas "Doug" Marshall Chastain, 60, formerly of Cedar Rock Church Road, passed away Wednesday January 19, 2011 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
Mr. Chastain was born in Pickens County, SC, a son of the late Freeman I.V. and Winnon Edens Harrison Chastain. He retired from Baldor Dodge in Duncan, SC after 23 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War Era and a Baptist.
Surviving are two brothers, Jerry Chastain (Mandy), of Liberty, SC and Jason Chastain, of Spindale, NC; a sister, Glenda Sanders (Ronnie), of Liberty, SC; a step-sister, Donna Wilkins, of Spindale, NC and his step-mother, Brenda Jackson, of Spindale, NC.
Graveside Services and burial will be 2:30 PM Sunday in Westview Cemetery, Easley.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.
The family is at the home of Glenda Sanders, 367 Cartee Road, Liberty, SC.
Memorials may be made to Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home, 4605 Belton Highway, Anderson, SC 29621.
