Douglas Robert Holcombe, 47, of 778 Five Forks Road, died Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, Mr. Holcombe was a son of Betty Moore Holcombe of Liberty and the late John Robert Holcombe. Mr. Holcombe was associated with Holcombe Septic Tank Company and Holcombe Enterprises. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a son, Jonathan Holcombe of Liberty; a daughter, Ashley Chappell and her husband, Furman, of Liberty; a sister, Pam D. Holcombe and her husband, Kevin, of Liberty; and one granddaughter, Georgia Lynn Chappell. In addition to his father, Mr. Holcombe was predeceased by a brother, Dale Holcombe.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. John Wayne Revis officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of his mother, Betty Holcombe, 764 Five Forks Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, is assisting the family with arrangements.
