Douglas Phillip Hopkins

April 23, 1920 — April 19, 2013

Douglas Phillip Hopkins,Sr., 92, formerly The Willows of Easley, and husband of Sadie Elliott Hopkins, passed away Friday April 19, 2013 at Hospice of the Upstate.

Mr. Hopkins was born in Greenville, SC. He retired from Southern Railroad and was a member of First Baptist Church of Easley. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of W.W. II.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his son, Phil Hopkins, Jr. and his wife Gale, of Tryon, NC; and a sister, Nell Hart, of Greensboro, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris Christian and Teresa Hopkins.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church - Easley, with the Reverend Dr. John Adams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM Tuesday, prior to the service, in the narthex at First Baptist Church - Easley.
