Doyce Miller Rogers, 85, of 116 Fruit Mountain Road, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Palmetto Health Baptist of Easley.

Born in Easley, a son of the late John Milton and Bessie Miller Rogers, he was a retired employee with Alice Manufacturing and with WELP radio station. He was a former Minister of Music for Arial, Six and Twenty and Mountain View Baptist Churches; attended and was a member of the Band at Enon Baptist Church and was a WWII veteran of US Army Air Corps.

Surviving are a son, Tony Rogers of Pickens; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ollie Hunter Rogers; one son, Phil Rogers; three brothers, Bruce, J. M. and Paul Rogers; and three sisters, Ethel Bracken, Viola Culbertson and Obera Young.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 PM, Wednesday at Enon Baptist Church with services to follow at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church, 870 Enon Church Road, Easley, SC 29640.
