Mr. Doyle Heyward Nicholson, 91, husband of Lillian Bryant Nicholson, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Claude and Maude Billingsley Nicholson, Mr. Nicholson received his Associate Degree from Clemson University and retired from BB&T Bank. He was a US Army Veteran having served in WWII and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, are a son, Michael Nicholson and his wife, Sylvia, and Ron Nicholson and his wife, Sara, all of Easley; a sister, Rose Ann Albertson of Easley; four grandchildren, Bradley Nicholson (Amanda), Brian Nicholson (Sheree), Erin Nicholson Canady (Brian) and Chris Nicholson (Carolyn); and five great-grandchildren, Michael Nicholson, Caitlyn Nicholson, Ronan Canady, Reagan Nicholson and Braylon Nicholson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nicholson was predeceased by two brothers, Earl and Harold Nicholson; and three sisters, Ruth O'Donnell, Frances Bishop and Jessie Christine Nicholson; and an infant granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer and Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
