Dwight Allen Collar, 78, of Caradale Way, husband of Elizabeth Arnold Collar, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born November 2, 1934 in Hancock County, Maine, he was the son of the late Richard Lawrence and Florence Tracy Collar. Mr. Collar was a graduate of the Maine Maritime Academy and served in the US Navy. He was an engineer with Warren Pumps that later became Ahlstrom Pumps, retiring after thirty eight years of service. Mr. Collar enjoyed golf, traveling, camping, and watching most sports.
In addition to his wife of fifty-six years, he is survived by his children, Matthew Collar (Kelly), Christine Collar, Alane Collar and Margaret Retter (Scott); sisters, Betty Smith and Ruth Freeman; grandchildren, Zackary Retter, Seamus Collar and Shannon Collar.
Memorial services may be conducted at a later date.
