James Dwight Hunter, 87, of Easley, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Louise Green Hunter. Dwight served our country in the US Navy. He was associated with Liberty Carpet Mill and retired from Garrett's, Inc. He then worked with Marion Davis, Inc., fully retiring at the age of 82. He was a member of Easley First Pentecostal Church.
Surviving, are his wife of 63 years, Verla Turner Hunter; and his 2 daughters, Pam H. Smith and her husband Marty, of Easley; and Tracey H. Weaver and her husband Danny, of Pickens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00am in the Veterans section of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
