Dwight Kenneth Shirley, 79, of 722 Pepper Street, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.
Born in Central, he was a son of the late Sam and Ruby James Shirley. Dwight was a retired TSgt in the USAir Force and a retired civilian employee with the Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is a daughter, Pat Durham; brothers, Vernon Shirley and Bill Shirley; and a sister, Sara James all of Central; two grandchildren, Josh Morrison and Tyler Ann Durham.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Louise Gooch and Helen Cobb.
Funeral services will be 3 PM, Saturday in the Chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM, Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at their respective homes.
