E. Jane Broome, 84, of 103 Westridge Dr., passed away, Friday, June 7, 2013 at McCall Hospice House.
Born June 8, 1928 in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys McCain Broome. Miss Broome was a longtime resident of Rockland County, NY until moving to Powdersville in 1993. She graduated from Nyack High School in New York and attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York where she was member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Miss Broome was a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack and The Church of the Redeemer in Greenville. She was a retired business manager and medical insurance consultant.
Miss Broome is survived by her brother, J. Robert Broome; brother-in-law, Harold Jackson; and cousin, Pat Harrower.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Nancy B. Jackson.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at The Church of the Redeemer with The Rev. Scott C. Anderson officiating.
