E. Leonard HaneyPendleton, SCErnest Leonard Haney, 90, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home in Anderson.Born in Pendleton, he was a son of the late Ernest Coleman and Gracie Elmina Ladd Haney.  He was a retired employee of the Agronomy Department at Clemson University and was a member of East Clemson Christian Fellowship.  He was a US Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post in Pendleton and was an avid fisherman and golfer.  He also played Textile League and Semi Pro Baseball in his younger days.Surviving are a son, Roger Leonard (Geneva) Haney of Anderson; daughter, Rachel (James) Degive of Pendleton; brother, Billy Haney of Pendleton; sister, Sarah Porter of Pendleton; grandchildren, Shane Haney, Shawn Haney, Angela Rachel Wilson (Brian), Crystal Harris (Kevin); and 9 great grandchildren.In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Wardlaw Haney; brothers, Weldon, David and Frank Haney; and sisters, Lois Littleton and Louise Manley.Funeral services will be 2 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central with burial to follow in Memory Gardens.The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:50 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.The family is at the home of the daughter, Rachel Degive, 112 Spake Road, Pendleton, SC 29670.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or at the funeral home.
