Earl Hilliard Pitts, 85, of 869 Gentry Memorial Highway, died Thursday, July 20, 2006 at his daughter's residence.
Mr. Pitts was born in Greenwood, SC, a son of the late Leonard J. and Effie B. Ethredge Pitts. He was a retired employee of Alice Manufacturing Company- Elljean plant after forty eight and one half years of service. He enjoyed playing baseball for Alice Manufacturing's Textile League team. He was a member of Arial United Methodist Church.
Surviving is one daughter, Judy Fricks of Easley and two grandchildren, Kelly Fricks and Jason Fricks. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loving wife of sixty years, Mildred McAlister Pitts and one son-in-law, Delton Fricks.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Roger Gwinn officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Arial United Methodist Church immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the General Fund of Arial United Methodist Church, 829 Gentry Memorial Highway, Easley, SC 29640.
