Eddie Chambers, 57, of 731 N. Fishtrap Road, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Palmetto Health Baptist, Easley.
Born in Greenville, a son of Georgia Ann Durham Chambers of Easley, and the late Clarence Harlon Chambers, Sr., he was an employee with Precision Research and Development in Piedmont and was a member of Jones Ave. Baptist Church. He was involved in Laymen's Ministries and had served in several interim pastorates.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Sarah Hinson Chambers of the home; two daughters, Alana Chambers of the home and Donna Chambers Raines and husband Brett of Easley; two brothers, David F. Chambers and Clarence H. "Buddy" Chambers, Jr. both of Easley; three sisters, Marjorie Hoffman and Shirley Burdette both of Easley, and Doris Ragan of Travelers Rest; and one grandson, Wyatt Raines of Easley.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Monday at Greenville Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Dr. Roger Couch officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jones Avenue Baptist Church, Benevolence Fund, 614 Ross Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
