Edgar Allen Cox, 78, of Farrs Bridge Rd., husband of the late Barbara Waldrop Cox, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born March 5, 1935 in Six Mile, he was a son of the late Clarence and Arah Bleckley Cox.
Mr. Cox was a retired supervisor from Steel Hedle and was affectionately known too many by is CB handle "The Fox Hunter".
Mr. Cox is survived by his sons, Jeff Cox and Walter Cox; sister, Carolyn Patterson; sister-in-law, Jane Holcombe (Jackie); grandchildren, Jennifer and Katie; and great-grandchild, Ruby.
In addition to his wife and parents, He was predeceased by his brother, Carlos Cox; and sister, Evelyn Hunt.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roger Gwinn officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Ministry at Flat Rock Baptist Church, 115 Slab Bridge Rd, Liberty, SC 29657.
