Easley
Edgar Malcolm Martin, Sr., 83, of 113 Momart Drive, Easley (Dacusville Community), husband of Lois Brown Martin, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, Mr. Martin was a son of the late William E. and Myra Hopkins Martin. He retired from Charlie Martin Septic Tanks. Mr. Martin was a member of Blue Ridge View Baptist Church, and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Surviving in addition to his wife of sixty-one years of the home, are three sons, Mike Martin and his wife, Judy, of Liberty, Charlie Martin and his wife, Carol, of Dacusville, and Senator Larry Martin and his wife, Susan, of Pickens; a daughter, Debbie Morris and her husband, Randy, of Easley; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Martin was predeceased by two brothers; three half-brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2012 at Blue Ridge View Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge View Baptist Church Cemetery, Pickens.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday and will be placed in the church at 10:30 AM Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Blue Ridge View Baptist Church, 745 Wolf Creek Road, Pickens, SC 29671.
