Mr. Edgar Hoyle Smith, Jr., 88, husband of Treva Williams Smith, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Born in Richmond County, NC, a son of the late Edgar Hoyle Smith, Sr. and the late Julia Adelaide Haigler Smith, Mr. Smith retired from Bigelow Carpet Company with thirty-five years of service and was a member of Easley Presbyterian Church. He was a US Air Force Veteran.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of sixty-nine years, are a son, Mark H. Smith of Simpsonville; a daughter, Amy S. Pickens (Andrew) of Clemson; a brother, Rodney Smith of Aberdeen, NC; a sister, Cordie Jean Graham of Sanford, NC; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was predeceased by a sister, Mary Nancy Underwood.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Easley Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Dr. Christie S. Gravely officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 9:45 AM until 10:45 AM Saturday in the church parlor, prior to the service.
