Edith Foster Day

March 9, 1935 — January 14, 2021

Edith Foster Day, 85, wife of the late Rufus Charles Day, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Easley Place Assisted Living Facility. She was a resident of Easley and was the daughter of the late Columbus and Myrlie Black Foster. She was an accomplished seamstress, homemaker, wife and mother. Edith was a dedicated member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir.

She is survived by her sons, Richard Alan Day (Lisa) of West Chester, PA and Kenneth Paul Day (Joan) of Easley; a sister, Deleana Foster Wilson of Piedmont; three grandchildren, Anna Day Daniels, Laurie Day Carey (Patrick), Alan Benjamin Day (Erika) and six great-grandchildren; Ella, Alexandria and John Daniels, Jane Carey, Logan and Luke Day.

In addition to her husband and parents, Edith is preceded in death by brothers, Velon and Eston Foster; sisters, Margaret Foster Limbaugh and Endel Foster Roberts.

Graveside services will be led by Reverend Roger Couch on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM, at the Day Family Cemetery. No formal visitation will be held.
