Edith Blanche Smith, 98, passed away Saturday May 22, 2010 at Hospice of the Upstate. She was a resident of Magnolia's of Easley, and formerly lived at 26 Farmington Road, Greenville.
Mrs. Smith was born in Groville, Maine, a daughter of the late Sumner and Blanche Berry Waterman. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastern Star in Maine.
Surviving are her son, Donald B. Smith and his wife, Elizabeth, of Easley ; a daughter, Jean S. Mathews and her husband, Joe, of Greenville ; Grandchildren, LeeAnn Croley, Lori Mathews, Brian Smith and Pamela Moore ; Great-Grandchildren, Renny Croley, Jared Croley, Austin Moore, Keaton Moore, Tyler Smith and Lizzy Smith ; special friends, Judy and John Pew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ulric E. Smith, two brothers and four sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family would like to express their thanks to the caregivers at Magnolia's of Easley and Hospice of the Upstate.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Reverend Darrel Fetzer officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at 209 Wexford Way, Easley, SC.
