Edith Mae Gillespie White, 93, widow of Glenn Evans White, Sr., died Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Jane Whitlock Gillespie. Edith was an employee of Martin Sausage Company for over 20 years and a member of Refuge Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Glenn E. White, Jr and Gloria. of Pensacola, FL and Billy White and Tonya of Pendleton; daughters, Linda Ammons and Gary of Rocky Mount, NC and Connie Black of Central; sister, Katherine Mitchell of Pendleton; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and her loving niece Gail Albertson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Phyllis Irvin; brother, James Gillespie; and sisters, Rosa Suddeth and Eva Nell Albertson.
Graveside services will be 1 PM, Thursday in Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Heath Bowie officiating.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church.
