Mary Edna Coker Bush, 92, of 201 Highland Road, wife of the late Henry Everette Bush, Jr., passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born near Ware Place in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Joseph Abner and Mary Etta Coker, Mrs. Bush graduated Valedictorian of Ellen Woodside High School, obtained her Master's Degree from Clemson University and her Bachelor's Degree from Furman University. She was formerly employed with the US Department of Agriculture in Washington as Assistant Actuary and later taught high school at Dacusville, Parker, and Easley High Schools. Mrs. Bush was owner of Bush Oil Company of Easley, Forrest Oil Company of Travelers Rest and Coker's Supermarket of Moonville. She was a member of Easley First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Henry E. "Rhett" Bush, III, of Easley; a daughter, Rosemary Retzer (Bill) of Easley; two sisters, Josie Hammond of York and Virginia Baker of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, Joseph E. Bush (Spring) of Easley, Virginia C. "Ginny" McJunkin (Ernest) of Easley, and Joseph Retzer (Jessica) of Easley; and two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Everette McJunkin and Thoner Wade Bush. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bush was predeceased by three brothers, Belton Coker, Walter Coker and Charles Coker; and by four sisters, Loree Wells, Nellie King, Allene Peden and Edith Hay.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Jim Correll and Rev. Patrick Jinks officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Ginny McJunkin, 100 Hagood Park Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
