Edna H. Lesley

Edna Hoxit Lesley, 95, formerly of 101 Oakfield Avenue, passed away Friday, August 15, 2008, at the Foothills Presbyterian Home.
Born in Piedmont, Mrs. Lesley was a daughter of the late Garland and Lula Jones Hoxit. A resident of Foothills Presbyterian Home, she was the oldest member of First United Methodist Church of Easley. She was an avid gardener and talented seamstress. Her family enjoys many beautiful handmade quilts and afghans she has made for each of them.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Bud Nalley of Easley; and a son, Marchant Lesley of Anderson, and his companion, Mary Machalak of Greenville. She also has five grandchildren, LeAnn and Bob Heil of Easley, Kathy and Dial DuBose of Easley, Wes Nalley of Greenville, Elizabeth and Don Cox of Anderson, Caroline and Stuart Kordonowy of Asheville, NC; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lesley was predeceased by her husband, Mina Lee Lesley; two brothers, Earl and Truman Hoxit; and a sister, Mildred Williams.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Easley. Private burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday in the church social hall.
