Edrew H. "Duck" Duckworth, 84, of Talbott, TN and formerly of Easley, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2006.
He was a US Army veteran of WWII and a Japan POW, was a member of the Smokey Chapter of American Ex-Prisoners of War in Knoxville, TN.
Mr. Duckworth was preceded in death by his Mother and Step-father, Otis and Robby Robinson; Father, George W. Duckworth; Brothers, James and Dewey Duckworth; Step-sister, Betty McDade and Grandson, Ricky Blair.
Surviving are his loving wife and care giver, Phyllis Smith Duckworth; Daughter, Lola Mae Pierce; loving Step-daughter, Sonya (Tim) McGhee, other step-children, Renee (Rex) Kitts and Tony (Chloe) Smith; Special granddaughter, Pat Sipe; grandson, Mickey Blair; loving Step-grandchildren, Kasey and Kahla Cobb, Timmy McGhee, Ashley, Alex and Rebekah Kitts; the Light of His life step-granddaughter, "Sweety" McKinzey Galyon and Great Nephew His "Little Buddy", Jace Mitcham; 9 Great-grandchildren and 9 Great-great Grandchildren; Sisters, Ruth Barnett, Francis Tompkins and Ruby (LLoyd) Simmons; Brother-in-law and Best Friend, James McDade and Friend, Helen Craig all residents of South Carolina; loving and caregiver, Mother-in-law, Betty Burchell; Brother-in-law, Dennis (Kathy) Burchell; Sister-in-law, Vickie (Roy) Slagle from Columbia, TN.
He was loved by ALL his many Nieces and Nephews; great neighbors and friends, Debra Wolfe, Nancy and Bill Turpin, Dewayne Umbarger, Teresa and A1C Michael Dietz, Bobby and Faye Massengill, L.M. and Carolyn Whilock; the Cureton Family, Commander Bonnie Weatherford of Loudon, TN and "Dear Friend" Rev. Charles Hobbs, Pastor of Beaver Creek Baptist Church, Strawberry Plains, TN.

Family will receive friends at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market, TN on Wednesday, June 14th, from 6 to 8PM.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday with Military Honors at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, SC.
Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley is assisting the family with local arrangements.
