Edward A. Alexander

Ret. MMC SSBN Edward Arthur Alexander, 56, of 113 Windy Hill Road and husband of Cynthia Wyer Alexander died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 in Oconee County.
Born in Oconee County, he was a son of Hazel Winchester Alexander and the late Ernest Franklin Alexander. He was a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University and was a night supervisor with BASF in Seneca. He retired after a 20 year career in the US Navy having attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Ed was a member of Clemson Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Benjamin Alexander and wife, Colleen of Central, Bruce Alexander and wife, Amy of Tallahassee, FL, and Victor Alexander of the home; daughters Mirenda Boska and husband, Paul of Central, Natasha Alexander, Laura Alexander, Valarie Alexander and Rebekah Alexander all of the home; sister Pat Baxter and husband, Rick of Salem, SC; one granddaughter Lianna Boska and one grandchild on the way.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Thursday at Clemson Presbyterian Church, 346 Old Greenville Highway, Clemson, SC 29631, with burial with full military honors to follow at 3 PM at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Walhalla, SC.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the church.
