Edward Gordon Ballew, 73, of 109 Sherri Lane, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the Brian Center in Brevard, NC.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Ferris and Lou Ella Rogers Ballew. He was a graduate of Parker High School in Greenville and Evangel Bible School in Lakeland, FL. Mr. Ballew was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War and was retired from the textile mills.
Surviving are his wife, Georgia Shelton Ballew of the home; three sons, Anthony Edward Ballew of Belton, Cecil Ballew of Greenville, Edward G. Ballew, Jr. of Easley; and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Roger Ballew.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Fellowship Church with Reverend Boyd Lusk and Tonya Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body is at Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and will be placed in the church at 2:00 PM on Wednesday.
The family is at the home of Marcelle Nix; 420 Pelzer Highway; Easley, SC 29642.
