Edward Barry, 97, formerly of Pebble Brook Drive, husband of the late Annemarie Schwarzer Barry, died Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Riverside Living Center.
Born in Tralee, Ireland, the son of the late Patrick and Elizabeth Corridon Barry, Mr. Barry was formerly employed with the Rockefeller Center and also with Simon & Schuster of New York. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the British Army in the Pioneer Corps.
Surviving are a daughter, Christina Barry Connell of Easley; and two grandsons, Michael Barry and Anthony Barry. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Barry was predeceased by a son, Patrick Barry.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Luke's Catholic Church with Father Thomas Miles officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Stamford, New York.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
