William Edward Kay

William Edward Kay, 92, of Easley, husband of the late Grace Kelley Kay, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at his home.
Born in Six Mile on February 26, 1918, he was a son of the late Perry and Elizabeth Nelson Kay. He was a retired cloth room weaver with Alice Manufacturing, retiring in 1982 with 52 years of service. He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Grant and her husband, Richard of Blythewood; brother, Paul Kay; sister, Geneva Pinion; grandchildren, Logan Grant, and Mariane Grant; great-grandchildren, Ava Grant, and Hudson Grant.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Frances Evatt, and Christine Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
